VOLUNTEERING
Volunteeer Opportunities
Join us as a volunteer and have a first hand experience with sea turtles.
We promise you an unforgettable experience!
You will learn about sea turtles, marine life in general, and make many new friends . All this whilst staying on the tropical island of Kapas.
Volunteering with sea turtles in Kapas Turtles is open to anybody who would like to experience sea turtle conservation first hand. However, we do ask that volunteers are 18+, able swimmers and have a passion for sea turtles. They must speak English and be willing to do physical work, time commitment.
We can accommodate 3 volunteers at the time and the work will be very hands on.
To cover the expenses for you stay, we ask for a donation to KT.

FREE-TIME ACTIVITIES
Volunteers can expect between 3 and 6 hours of work per day 6 days per week. This leaves plenty of time to explore the beautiful island of Kapas and experience all of the activities it has to offer.
There is a scuba diving school on the island, that offers diving lessons and rentals. By boat, you can reach the town of Marang and from there by bus the small city of Terengganu. However, you don’t have to travel far to enjoy a lazy day on the beach as we are within 30 meters from the ocean. Additionally, there is a volleyball field net on the beach.
Here you’ll have many different activities to do:
- A scuba diving school is near to the project (100 meters), our island offers the best chance to go snorkelling or diving.
- An amazing blue lagoon lies within 1 hour walking distance trekking through the jungle.
- Terengganu city is 45 minutes by bus from Marang town.
- The beach is just in front of our house, so sunbathe, enjoy the beach and live in a tropical and nice place.
